Detection of Halomethanes Using Cesium Lead Halide Perovskite Nanocrystals

چکیده

The extensive use of halomethanes (CH3X, X = F, Cl, Br, I) as refrigerants, propellants, and pesticides has drawn serious concern due to their adverse biological atmospheric impact. However, there are currently no portable rapid accurate monitoring systems for detection. This work introduces an approach the selective sensitive detection using photoluminescence spectral shifts in cesium lead halide perovskite nanocrystals. Focusing on iodomethane (CH3I) a model system, it is shown that bromide (CsPbBr3) nanocrystals can undergo (<5 s) exchange, but only after exposure oleylamine induce nucleophilic substitution CH3I release iodide species. extent exchange directly dependent concentration, with emission CsPbBr3 exhibiting redshift more than 150 nm upon addition 10 ppmv CH3I. represents widest range highest sensitivity low-cost reported date. Furthermore, inherent selectivity compared other organohalide analogues achieved through dramatic differences alkylation reactivity.

Color-stable water-dispersed cesium lead halide perovskite nanocrystals.

Cesium lead halide perovskite nanocrystals are being lately explored for optoelectronic applications due to their emission tunability, high photoluminescence quantum yields, and narrow emission bands. Nevertheless, their incompatibility with polar solvents and composition homogenization driven by a fast anion-exchange are still important drawbacks to overcome. Herein we report on a successful e...

All-inorganic cesium lead halide perovskite nanocrystals for photodetector applications.

Herein, we describe simple, fast and reproducible halide ion exchange reactions in CsPbX3 (X = Cl, Br, I) nanocrystals (NCs) at room temperature. Through the simple adjustment of the halide ion concentration, the photoluminescence of these NCs can be tuned over the entire visible region (425-655 nm). Photodetector devices based on entirely inorganic CsPbI3 NCs are demonstrated for the first tim...

Ultrathin Colloidal Cesium Lead Halide Perovskite Nanowires.

Highly uniform single crystal ultrathin CsPbBr3 nanowires (NWs) with diameter of 2.2 ± 0.2 nm and length up to several microns were successfully synthesized and purified using a catalyst-free colloidal synthesis method followed by a stepwise purification strategy. The NWs have bright photoluminescence (PL) with a photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) of about 30% after surface treatment. Large...

Low-Temperature Electron Beam-Induced Transformations of Cesium Lead Halide Perovskite Nanocrystals

Cesium lead halide perovskite (CsPbX3, with X = Br, Cl, I) nanocrystals have been found to undergo severe modifications under the high-energy electron beam irradiation of a transmission electron microscope (80/200 keV). In particular, in our previous work, together with halogen desorption, Pb2+ ions were found to be reduced to Pb0 and then diffused to form lead nanoparticles at temperatures abo...

Tuning the Optical Properties of Cesium Lead Halide Perovskite Nanocrystals by Anion Exchange Reactions

We demonstrate that, via controlled anion exchange reactions using a range of different halide precursors, we can finely tune the chemical composition and the optical properties of presynthesized colloidal cesium lead halide perovskite nanocrystals (NCs), from green emitting CsPbBr3 to bright emitters in any other region of the visible spectrum, and back, by displacement of Cl(-) or I(-) ions a...
